Privacy Policy & Data Usage Agreement

Effective Date: March 1, 2026
Project: canigetadollar.com (The “Experiment”)

1. The Core Principle

By participating in canigetadollar.com, you acknowledge that this is a public social experiment. Unlike traditional websites that promise to hide or “protect” your data in a vault, this project is designed to expose and utilize data for research, documentation, and public display.

2. Information Collection and Absolute Usage Rights

When you contribute to this experiment—whether through a payment processor, a registration form, or email communication—you are providing us with information. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your name or alias.
  • Your physical or digital location.
  • Your website URL or social media handles.
  • The 70-character message provided at the time of entry.
  • Transactional metadata (time, date, and method of contribution).

By providing this information, you grant canigetadollar.com an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, list, edit, translate, distribute, syndicate, publicly perform, publicly display, and make derivative works of all such information in any manner we see fit.

3. Public Ledger & Documentation

The primary purpose of this data is for inclusion in our “Public Ledger.” Any information you provide may be:

  • Displayed publicly on our website indefinitely.
  • Used in blog posts, social media content, or marketing materials.
  • Included in future books, research papers, or digital archives related to this experiment.
  • Sold, traded, or shared as part of the experiment’s data set.

4. No Expectation of Privacy

In the context of this experiment, there is no expectation of privacy for the data you submit. If you provide your real name, it will be used. If you provide a URL, it will be linked. We do not “anonymize” data unless we choose to do so for specific research visualizations.

5. Third-Party Processors

While we claim total rights to the data submitted to us, please be aware that third-party processors (such as Ko-fi, Stripe, or PayPal) have their own privacy policies. We do not control their internal data usage, but any information they pass to us becomes subject to this “All-Rights” policy.

6. Data Deletion

Because this is a permanent ledger experiment, we do not guarantee the ability to edit or delete entries once they have been published. Participation is a “permanent” digital act.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By clicking “Pay,” “Contribute,” or “Submit,” you agree to this Privacy Policy in its entirety. If you do not want your information used in any way we want, do not participate in this experiment.
